Our Teachers

The teachers of St. James School are committed to helping each child reach personal and academic success. 100% of the teaching faculty is licensed through the Ohio Department of Education. Nearly half of the teaching faculty holds advanced degrees.

Mrs. Renee Barnett received the 2018 Excellence in Education Award for the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Region.  This award is presented annually to one private/parochial school educator by the Cincinnatus Association and the Schools of Education at Mount St. Joseph University, Northern Kentucky University, the University of Cincinnati, and Xavier University.

Mrs. Ann Crase was named one of the 2016 Ohio Council of Teachers of Mathematics Outstanding Teachers.  This award is only presented to one elementary math teacher in all of Southwest Ohio.

Miss Emily Bates and Mrs. Vicki Linahan were recognized as a 2017 Outstanding Educator by Cincy Magazine.  Mrs. Sherry Kembre, Mrs. Jenny Bates, and Mrs. Jane Schrott received this honor in 2016.  Mrs. Renee Barnett and Mrs. Ann Crase received this honor in 2015 and Mrs. Melissa Weingartner in 2014.

Mr. Dan Wallace was named a 2015 Greater Cincinnati Teacher of Excellence.

Two of our staff members, Miss Lisa Driggers and Mrs. Sherry Kembre, have been recognized as a National Catholic Education Association Teacher of the Year.
